Sick. Terrible. Out of sorts.
I have been sick for two days now. Thanks to cold drinks over the last one week. Well, you really can't blame me for that, it's Deepavali! Festivals are really the time to eat and drink stuffs we don't get to do all the time on normal basis. Anyway, let me share my Deepavali 2011 story.
Deepavali this year has been very different from the ones I had all those past years. Maybe it's mainly cause I'm in college and the awesome finals just had to fall on the week of Deepavali, thus I only had one day off, because I had Thinking Skills exams on the eve, which is Tuesday, Deepavali was on Wednesday and on Thursday it's Chem practical paper, which was absolutely horrendous, I tell you. The other reason as to why it's different is because, it also coincided with my cousin's wedding. Mind you, it was a very interesting week.
Oh and did I mention I sprained my foot on the Sunday before Deepavali? Oh yes, I did. And the pain went on for 4 days. I was limping all over places, but still at least I walked. Unlike my little bro who used others to get his work done when he 'fractured' his foot. Ergh.
Anyway, this Deepavali was very very eventful. On the first day we visited 5, yes FIVE! houses. Three of my relatives in the afternoon, in the evening one of my dad's friend and next was my friend's. Happy Belated, Sonia! She celebrated her birthday which coincided with Deepavali.:)
See, five houses, thus very very eventful. And I've been having various dishes of mutton for four days, gosh the cholestrol! Mutton is banned from my house so... thanks to all the open houses I've attended, I get to go mutton frenzy! (I loveee mutton.:D) The first day's so fun. The second day, the morning was just plain depressing. DEPRESSING. Chem practical was just ridiculous. Jeesh. Later that day, Chris and Bev came over to my house(Thank you, Gan Yen Yen for letting me to 'tumpang' you the entire day.) Christina Gan Yen Yen was the craziest thing of the day. Screaming her head off just because she thinks Torres was attacking her, the pandemonium! Oh and btw, when I said Torres, I meant my puppy. Torres meanwhile loves Beverlea. He got so excited with the new visitors that day. The little rascal. The cutest thing in my life #thethingthatmakesmesmileeveryday. That night, my family went over to my grandmum's house. The food! I love you, Grandma. She's a fantastic cook. And I got more
The next day, Friday was havoc at my house. My bros friends came over, and when I joined them, I realised why it is no surprise my brother is so childish. His entire generation probably is. But that's so cute. There's like no boundaries between the boys and the girls, and they just had so much fun in their own innocent ways. Teasing each others, calling names, and playing a fool, sure is something I haven't seen in a while. Oh wait, I have. My college busmates, are alot like that. In a way it's good cause.. hey, we aren't losing our sunshine childhood nature, are we? Vincent is officially the candle princess. He can't stand sunshine. Ooh, speaking of sunshine, me, Chris, Vince, Bev and Wei Lyn just had some reaaally good brownies at this place called Grafa, it was so good! (I know sunshine and brownies doesn't reaaally relate, but both makes me happy, so YEAH.)
Then on Saturday.. is the real thing. The wedding of the decade. Or maybe not. But the day everyone in my family has been waiting for. Finally here. And just as I said, I wore the gown I bought. The beautiful rose colour gown with crystal accessories. And it looked... not bad on me. Not bad, actually. And the wedding wasn't all that bad, actually. Not bad. It was, after all a sunny and beautiful morning, the butterflies were out in the lake, the clouds were that forget-me-not blue?, the birds were out, you don't get such mornings always. And my cousin officially got married. Now two of them are married and leading a family of their own. Man, time flies! I'm very very very happy for him, and his wife, and may they live a happy life till the end. I'm sure we all could not wait to see more members joining our family, which is already huge as it is. Weddings are beautiful events, because we know the world could always do with more love. And that morning, love was every where. I was happy to see my cousin brother has grown up and found his other half, it's amazing. Not everyone gets to experience that feeling, standing at the altar, watching your loved one walking to you, waiting to be yours.:) Hahah, what can I say, I'm a sucker for love stories.:)
Later that night, was amazing. We attended the wedding dinner held in a hall, and many people came over to bless the newlyweds (and for some reaaaally good food.) Us family members, went over to greet people as they entered, helped out with a couple of things. I loveee the decors and food! My cousin brother looked dashing in his Bollywood-themed clothes. Sighs. He's no longer the teenage giraffe I had to always literally look up at. There were loads of photo sessions, food, laughters, and finally, they opened the dance floor. CHAOS. My dad, is the craziest dancer there ever was, and he could stay one the dance floor for EVER without getting tired! Crazy. I had so much fun too, dancing with everyone, and the groom has got some moves. I even got to dance with him. He's normally the serious one, but we all can understand how happy he is, considering now that he's married to the girl he's known for 8 years. Such a touching story. *Sighs, with hands on chest.*
Speaking of relationships, apparently the famous Kim Kardashian has some problems in marriage to Kris Humphries. And they are considering.. divorce. And it has only been... 2 months. Are you kidding me? WHat was that big hoo-hah about her "Fairytale Wedding" and all? Bullshit. Celebrities these days, are like robots. They. Do. Not. Know. Real. Love. Stupid publicity stunts. Sorry, I'm just mad that they treat relationships like change of clothes.
Back to topic. So yesterday, Sunday, was a terrible day. I was so sick, I was practically in bed for 18 hours. 18 HOURS! Not consecutively, but that's where I spent most of my time on. Not just the exhaustion from the wedding, but the flu attacked me so bad. And I am still sick. Much better thanks to those awesome medications, but still weak. And Maths paper 6 just now.. was alright? It was easy for a final paper, but I got confused at so many parts, and I couldn't finish a number of questions, thanks to time constraint. God. I. Do. Not. Want. To Screw. Up. This. Exam. But. That. Is. EXACTLY. What. I'm. Doing.
That's it for today, peace out, spread the love!:)
I'll try to blog more though, as soon my cousin gets my laptop all back to normal. Ahhh, God I do not want to lose my Verdasco. I love it very very much.:) Sorry for those harsh words and impatiences, honey. I just can't stand all those lagging!
"It’s the most beautiful time of the year
Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer
I should be playing in the winter snow
But I'mma be under the mistletoe
I don’t want to miss out on the holiday
But I can’t stop staring at your face
I should be playing in the winter snow
But I’mma be under the mistletoe".
Dayumn, I can't get the song out of my head! And it's not even Christmas yet. It's just Halloween!
Oh right.
Happy Halloween, everybody!:D
We all could do with more love and laughter in our life. It's the only way to live.:)
